SUSTAINABILITY
Benefits of materials and production
This design prioritized carbon reduction, sustainable materials, and high-quality craftsmanship, blending luxury with functionality. It focused on responsibly sourced materials and sleek, eco-friendly design, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and environmental sustainability.
In production, the case relies on innovative materials and environmentally friendly techniques. The core is made of recyclable cardboard that replaces traditional plastic and metal parts, making the product more environmentally friendly and lighter for shipping. The vegan leather cover is crafted in a process designed for durability and a luxurious feel.

Redefining Luxury for the Future
The design is based on a clear, minimalist aesthetic that harmoniously combines masculine and feminine elements. The clear lines and gently rounded corners are inspired by the architecture of Wempe branches and convey both modernity and timelessness. This design stands out from traditional, often clunky cases and appears lighter and more space-saving – a conscious step to meet today's aesthetic demands and expectations of functionality.
The shadow gap allows Wempe's two signature red tones to be shown in a subtle way. The shadow gap is used as a recognition factor in the boxes and in the outer packaging and is a central design element.

Founded in 1878 as a small watch workshop, Wempe Jeweler stands for an exclusive selection of high-quality watches and wonderful pieces of jewelry. The family business based in Hamburg is run by the fourth generation and operates 34 shops and brand boutiques.
We reimagined the Etui with Wempe, merging modern minimalism and sustainability. By selecting premium materials and prioritizing durability, we crafted a luxurious, timeless, and reusable design.
